Anticipating the Future: Preparing for 2025 and Beyond

Writer's picture: Christine McHughChristine McHugh

My goals for this year are a little looser than in the past. I'm taking advantage of my sabbatical to reflect on what I want more or less of in life.

I'm pondering the right balance (for me) of work and play from a time/capacity perspective.

I know 2025 will involve work, travel, and an athletic endurance event (I've signed up to climb Mount Rainier in June and have also registered for the Twin Cities marathon in October), but there are a few questions I'm working to answer:

  • How much do I want to work vs. play?

  • What changes might I want to make in my business model, and why? What implications might that have?

  • How much do I want to grow my business?

  • How serious am I about my next book ("Unfurled"), and how much time do I want to devote to it?

  • What additional education might I consider to further develop my capabilities to serve my clients in new and fresh ways?

As shared previously, I don't have clear objectives for my sabbatical by design. I need to see where the energy takes me. But I know that it will end eventually, and I'll need to have a bit more clarity to answer the questions above.

What are your goals for the year? Feel free to reach out, and I'll check in with you when I'm back!
